Reaction mixed to IRGC order to close Argosy Casino by July 1st

Reaction from Siouxlanders was swift following Thursday's announcement about the Argosy Casino. Many say they feel bad for the more than 300 Argosy employees.

Many believe it has been rough for those workers, who don't know how things will play out in the courts.

Few were shocked by the decision. "I really wasn't surprised. My feeling is sympathy for these workers because it's been on again, off again, on again, off again," Judi Kuta, of Sioux City, said. "It's going to hurt a lot of people that work here because they're going to be without a job. They've been hanging in limbo," Kent Grosvenor, of Ponca, NE, said. "I heard they're going to appeal to the court, but I don't think they have much chance of winning that," Kathy Provost, of Sioux City, said.

Some people hope the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will hire the Argosy employees.
