Norfolk, NE man charged after accident near Stanton

NEAR STANTON, Neb. (KTIV/US92) A Norfolk, Nebraska, man is charged with drunk driving following an accident west of Stanton Friday morning.

The Stanton County Sheriff says 22-year-old David Dartmann was driving east on Highway 24, about six miles west of Stanton, shortly before 2:00 a.m., when he struck a deer and lost control of his vehicle.

Dartmann vehicle ended up in the south ditch where it struck a power pole.

Dartmann was transported to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk with possible head injuries.
