Authorities: Initial autopsy results show no traumatic injury after woman found in northeast NE home

NEAR NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) Authorities in northeast Nebraska have released a few more details in a death investigation.

They say early Thursday morning Kevin Broberg called 9-11. When they arrived at Broberg's home east of Norfolk they found 38-year-old Keisha Spears dead.

Broberg appeared in Stanton County Court this week where he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of false reporting. It was related to a case where authorities found Spears with her hands and feet bound.

Investigators say Broberg's been cooperative, however, the incident does remain under investigation.

The Stanton County Sheriff says an initial autopsy shows Spears did not suffer any type of traumatic injury that caused her death.

However, they're still waiting for more test results, and that could take up to a month.

So, far no arrests have been made.
