Trial date set for John Green, who is accused of killing a Sac City, IA man in 2009


SAC CITY, Iowa (KTIV) A June 24th trial date has been set for a man suspected of killing a Sac City, Iowa man, then hiding his body in the basement of the home they shared.

In a written plea, 54 year-old John Green pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Mark Koster.

In March, Green told police, in Florida, he had been living with Koster for about a month before the incident. He says that on June 5th, 2009, he was hit in the shoulder by Mark Koster with a baseball bat. Green then admitted he got the bat from Koster, hit and choked him. Green then told police he put his body in the basement and left.
