Members of Anthon Legion to create a mock military funeral to educate students


ANTHON, Iowa (KTIV) A mock military funeral is set for April 25th in Anthon, Iowa. The event is being put on by the Anthon American Legion. 

Members of the legion will explain military traditions to 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are currently studying American government.  The veterans will explain the meaning behind each fold of the flag, why we have 21-gun salutes, etc. 

The event will be held at the Anthon football field at 2:30 p.m.. on Friday, April 25th.
