Storm Lake High School continues construction project
STORM LAKE, Iowa (KTIV) -
Going to school is something we're all required to do as children and most of the time you don't have a choice about the public high school you attend.
But, one Northwest Iowa school is making lots of upgrades, so their students can have an even better learning environment.
Storm Lake High School began renovations back in November.
They're creating a new wing for freshman, a new family-consumer science classroom, as well as a 750-seat auditorium, and an additional auxiliary gym.
"It's been very exciting. It's created a few challenges for us closing certain parts of the building down, as we build, but the students and the teachers have been very flexible. And, it's been a very positive experience," Storm Lake High School Principal Beau Ruleaux said
School leaders said they hope to move in to the new wing in late October and expect the final project to be complete by 2015.
