UPDATE: One person critically injured in NW Iowa motorcycle crash

HINTON, Iowa (KTIV) -

Plymouth County authorities responded to a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.  It happened on the south end of Hinton on Highway 75 and Orbit Drive, around 4:30.

Authorities say the motorcycle entered the median, and rolled several times, throwing the driver off.  The motorcycle was barely recognizable as it laid in the median.  The driver was not wearing a helmet.

Authorities say the driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to Sioux City's Mercy Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

The victim's name and the cause of the crash were not released.
