Nebraska volleyball teams bump, set, and spike to raise tornado relief funds

Two Nebraska universities took their teams on the road to help victims of last year's tornado in Wayne, Nebraska.

Women volleyball players for the University of Nebraska and Creighton University played an exhibition match in front of a sold out crowd of more than two-thousand spectators.

Half of the proceeds will go toward reconstructing the Wayne Summer Sports Complex, which was devastated by that EF-4 twister last October.

"We've been planning this for about four months now and it all came together really quick. We were sold out within a week and a half of selling the tickets. The community's behind it and it's a great event,” said Scott Kneifl, Wayne State Women’s Volleyball Team Head Coach.

Money was raised through ticket sales and an auction between the 2nd and 3rd sets of the match.
