A stand-up comedy legend will be honored in Norfolk

A stand-up comedy legend with more than 100 appearances on the Tonight Show under his belt, will be honored with an award named for the Tonight Show's long-time host this summer.

Officials with the Great American Comedy Festival in Norfolk, have announced that stand-up legend, David Steinberg, has been tapped as the recipient of the 2014 Johnny Carson Comedy Legend award.

Steinberg was one of Johnny Carson's favorite guests, appearing on the show over 130 times, second only to Bob Newhart.

Lately, he's been the host of Inside Comedy on the Showtime Network.
