Pierce Co., Neb. Attorney id's 3 killed, 6 others injured in a 1 vehicle accident on Highway 81 Monday

PIERCE, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -  Authorities have released the names of three people killed in the crash of a sport utility vehicle in Pierce County, Nebraska earlier this week. All nine people in the Ford Excursion were thrown from it after a tire blew out and it left the roadway and rolled several times.

Killed in the crash were 41-year-old Pablo Escobar of Guatemala, 29-year-old Mario Pineda of Mexico and 24-year-old Hugo Moreno also of Mexico.

The nine were headed to a work site when the accident happened on Highway 81 Monday morning.

The driver, 31-year-old Carlos Espinoza of Arlington, South Dakota, remains hospitalized in Norfolk.

His condition is not available.

Another passenger, 19-year old-Oscar Selgado, remains hospitalized in Omaha.
