CENTSABLE HEALTH: Outdoor Grilling Tips


SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Fareway Meat Expert Steven Peterson shares his expertise on outdoor grilling.May is beef month.

The best way to make sure you don't overcook or undercook your meat is to use a meat thermometer. For a medium-rare rib eye shoot for 135 to 145 degrees.

Ribeye steak is ideal for grilling because of it's fat content. To get started turn the grill up to high. To get good grill marks cook for two minutes then turn. After four minutes, flip the steak over. Repeat. Turn down the grill and monitor the steak's temperature.
