NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) - Officials in northeast Nebraska are turning to the public for their help in creating a fresh perspective on a Siouxland monument.

Officials with the Norfolk Area Visitors Bureau and the Elkhorn Valley Trails Network are mulling over new designs for the logo for the Cowboy Trail.      Visitors Bureau officials say the merchandise for the 195-mile long trail has been the same for the past 15 years.  They say they're running out of Cowboy Trail t-shirts and decided to use that as an opportunity to give them a new look.

The visitors bureau recently put out a call to the public to submit design ideas for new Cowboy Trail t-shirts.  The contest closed this week and now the visitors bureau and Elkhorn Valley Trails officials will decide on which design they like best.

The winner will be announced and the new logo will be unveiled during an event on June 4 at the trail at Norfolk's Ta Ha Zouka Park.  The event will coincide with National Trails Week.
