$200,000 left for Woodbury County jail upgrades

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Woodbury County Jail upgrades are almost complete.

Tuesday, the architect working on the project along with the sheriff's department went before the board of supervisors to talk about what's left to finish.

There's about $200,000 out of the $1.2-million allotted for the project. The Sheriff's Department said they plan to spend what's left on additional video storage space. And, since the amount is so large, the next step is to go through a bidding process.

Once they find out how much the storage space will cost, then they'll see if they have money leftover for more cameras in the jail.
