Private practice closing in Norfolk, Nebraska

NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - After more than three decades of service, a northeast Nebraska private practice medical office will closing its doors.

Norfolk Family Medicine, in Norfolk, Nebraska, served patients for 32 years, and will serve its last patient on May 31.

Dr. Tim Davy, who's the practice's president and founder said that the decision to close the practice didn't come easily.

Dr. Tim Davy says "It was a very difficult decision we have been agonizing for the last probably two or three years about the decreasing margins and the greater and greater difficulty in continuing to practice the way we want to practice.

Davy said that a number of factors lead to the decision, including the increasing number of urgent care operations, and the changing health care climate.

Davy plans to continue to serve patients through Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
