The Sioux City Farmers Market officially opened Wednesday

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - The Sioux City Farmers Market officially opened Wednesday.

This is the 6th year for the Farmers Market.

It is located at the Tyson Event Center parking lot at the corner of Pearl Street and Tri-View Avenue.

The market is expected to have 54 vendors at the peak of the season.

You'll be able to find everything from fresh cheese and baked goods to produce and meats.

All the products are grown or produced within a 100 mile radius of Sioux City.

"It's just a great addition to the community. It's a place where family and friends to get together. Come hang out on a Saturday and kick the weekend off the right way. In addition, it keeps the money in the local economy," said Brittany Hoffman, Market Manager.

The market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. until October 29th.
