SIOUX CITY, Iowa (SUBMITTED) It's time to celebrate safety at the 2014 Kids Safety Fair.

Health and safety intertwine with fun at the 2014 Kids Safety Fair, a free event being held on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Long Lines Family Rec Center.

Once again, Mercy Medical Center and UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's are teaming up to bring safety awareness to the kids and families of Siouxland. Fair attendees will be able to visit over 30 vendors offering engaging activities for kids and helpful tips for parents. Outside the center, the fun will continue with a car seat safety check conducted by certified child passenger safety technicians, smoke house tours with the Sioux City Fire Rescue, and several public safety vehicles on display including a fire truck, ambulance, police car, and helicopter.

The first 100 attendees to visit all of the booths will be given a free t-shirt. Families can also enjoy a free snack starting at 11:30 am.
