Rahn Franklin of the Sioux City Bandits is the CPIFL defensive player of the week.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Defensive Player of the Week in the Champions Professional Indoor Football League is Rahn Franklin of the Sioux City Bandits.
Franklin tied a league record with three interceptions against the Oklahoma Defenders on Saturday, May 3rd. The turnovers proved crucial as the Bandits defeated the Defenders 60-52. Franklin returned the interceptions for a total of 60 yards to set the Bandit offense up in good field position. He also recorded four tackles in the game.
Franklin leads the CPIFL in interceptions this season with seven. Sioux City (6-2) hosts Omaha on Saturday in a rivalry game at 7:05 at the Tyson Events Center.
