Damage reported in Sioux County, IA after tornado touches down near Hospers


Sunday night, the Sioux County, Iowa Sheriff's Department said they were taking numerous reports of damage. The National Weather Service says a tornado touched down twice near Hospers at 8:40 and 8:50 p.m.

The county's emergency manager reported severe structural damage to a dairy farm five miles northwest of Hospers.  Five-hundred cattle were on the loose after the storm.  

Then, four miles northwest of Hospers there was a report of significant damage to an outbuilding and also some damage to a home including broken windows.  A dispatcher in Sioux County said there were no reports of injuries.
