(NBC News) There's some news about the NBC drama "The Blacklist" which wraps up its season tonight.

NBC announced Sunday that the series will get a special airing after the Super Bowl next February.

That's just days ahead of the drama's move to Thursdays at 9pm.

"We think that the show is strong enough to move it. It's one of the biggest things we've had in the last few years," said NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt.

The Blacklist" will start next season in its customary Monday home after "The Voice."

But in mid-November, the new drama "State of Affairs" will take over the 10pm time slot.

Katherine Heigl stars as a top CIA analyst who monitors international crises for the President.

"It's a little bit of the The West Wing, in that there's white house and CIA intrigue, a little bit of The Blacklist because we go out into the world and deal with these big situations," Greenblatt said.

Debra Messing returns to NBC in the fall in "The Mysteries of Laura".

She'll play a police detective with a knack for collaring bad guys, but a tougher time wrangling her twin sons.

NBC has similar hopes for three new comedies,

"Marry Me" features Casey Wilson and Ken Marino as lovers on the verge of engagement.

"A to Z" is also a romantic comedy starring Ben Feldman and Cristin Milioti of "How I Met Your Mother".

Less romantic, but more outrageous is Kate Walsh who stars in "Bad Judge" from producer Will Ferrell.

The occult drama "Constantine", based on the DC Comics character also joins the new lineup on Friday nights.

"We used to be number four in total viewers. This year, we're number two. So, I think we've made a lot of progress," Greenblatt said.

The network has a second new batch of shows lined up for mid-season, including "Aquarius" starring David Duchovny as a cop on the trail of Charles Manson and "Emerald City" a drama set in a re-imagined Land of Oz.
