Sioux City, Iowa (KTIV) - UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's offering free mammograms.
UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Imaging and Breast Screening Services will hold a free screening mammogram event on Friday, May 16, with appointments available 8 am to 5 pm.
The event will be held at St. Luke's Sunnybrook Medical Plaza.
Appointments will consist of registration and a screening mammogram, using digital mammography equipment. Interpreters will be available at the event at no cost to the patient and transportation assistance is available for qualified individuals.
Participants will also receive free refreshments, gift bag and massage.
To qualify for the free screening mammogram, women must be at least 40 years old, have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months, have no current breast problems and no previous breast cancer diagnosis.
The attendee must also meet financial guidelines. Appointments and physician orders are required.
