SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A project designed to honor the local men and women who have stood up in the face of adversity gets a name change.

Sioux City's Diversity Sculpture Park will now be called the Celebrating Community Project.

Thirteen bronze sculptures are set to be installed in front of the Martin Luther King Junior Transportation Center.

Each of the people chosen have championed for a marginalized group.

Monday night, the city of Sioux City agreed to pay for the yearly upkeep of the sculptures.
