Le Mars, Iowa man sentenced for dealing drugs

ORANGE CITY, IOWA (KTIV) - A drug bust in Sioux County will lead to prison time for a Le Mars man.

A judge sentenced 20-year-old Tyler John Dimmick for intent to deliver marijuana and methamphetamine.

Investigators say Dimmick tried to sell meth to an undercover informant at a park in Orange City in September.

Dimmick was arrested a few days later in Ireton, Iowa.

He was a passenger in a vehicle where law enforcement says a three-foot marijuana plant was found in the trunk.

A judge sentenced Dimmick to up to ten years on the delivery charge, five years for conspiracy and one year for possessing meth on Monday.

He'll serve those sentences at the same time.
