President Obama promises anyone caught falsifying records at VA hospitals will be punished
(NBC News) President Obama promised action and accountability Wednesday in the growing Veterans Affairs hospital scandal.
Addressing allegations that veterans have died while waiting for treatment and that records were routinely falsified, Mr. Obama he will hold those responsible accountable.
"When I hear allegations of misconduct, any misconduct, whether it's allegations of VA staff covering up long wait times or cooking the books, I will not stand for it, not as Commander in Chief, but also not as an American," the President said.
