Stanton Co. Sheriff identifies victims after a traffic accident near Pilger, Neb.


PILGER, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - The Stanton County Sheriff's office has identified the victims of Tuesday Morning's traffic accident near Pilger, Nebraska that killed three people.

They're identified as 59-year-old Elane and 67-year-old David Schmid of Norfolk, who were in a sport utility vehicle and 53-year-old Derek Wrase of Joice, Iowa, who was driving one of the two semis involved in the fiery crash.

The other truck driver, 27-year-old Brandon Wolf of Fremont, Nebraska, remains in critical condition at an Omaha hospital.

The crash happened Tuesday morning at the junction of Highways 32 and 15.

The investigation continues.
