SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -
Eighteen-year-old Elizabeth Kyte of Spencer, IA was pronounced dead on scene after a car crash in Spencer early Friday evening.
Spencer Police say Kyte was driving northbound on Country Club Lane attempting to make an eastbound turn onto West 18th Street when her 2006 Chevy Malibu was struck by a semi driving eastbound.
The driver of the semi, 52-year-old Darrel Kramer, of Spencer, was transported by ambulance to Spencer hospital. Police say he has since been released.
Two passengers in Kyte's vehicle, 50-year-old Tamara Kyte, and 22-month-old Seth Kyte, were both taken to Spencer hospital and later flown to Avera in Sioux Falls. Police say Tamara is listed in stable condition and Seth has been released.
