Jim Breuer will perform at Norfolk's Great American Comedy Festival.
NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -
The headline performer at this year's Great American Comedy Festival says he can't wait to perform in the hometown of Johnny Carson.
"Saturday Night Live" alum Jim Breuer will be headlining the Saturday gala event at the Great American Comedy Festival in Norfolk this year. Breuer has rejuvenated his stand-up career in recent years, saying he's drawing his inspiration lately from raising his three daughters.
Breuer says while he's a little young to have performed for Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show," he says Carson's performances serve as a bonding experience for him and his father.
"My father is going to be 91, and we watch all the Johnny Carson DVD's every single night. I've got all the box sets," says Breuer.
Breuer recently released his latest stand-up special, "And Laughter For All," and is currently working an a comedy-music album.
Breuer will be the host for the festival's gala on Saturday, June 14.
