Norfolk, Neb. woman is injured after being struck by a car near Battle Creek


NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - A Norfolk, Nebraska woman has been seriously injured in a car-pedestrian accident on a rural road southeast of Battle Creek.

The Madison County Sheriff's office said Michael Watson was driving on the road just before midnight Tuesday night when he swerved to avoid a car that was parked in the middle of the roadway.

He went into the ditch and struck two people who were in the ditch.

Christopher Lich of Norfolk was just grazed, but Connie Eberhardt was struck and pinned beneath Watson's vehicle.

She was taken to the hospital in Norfolk, then flown to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha with injuries described as severe.

Her current condition is unknown.
