Nebraska man is injured in a boating accident on Memorial Day

NEAR RAYMOND, Neb. (KTIV) - A Lincoln, Nebraska man with ties to Siouxland is expected to survive serious injuries in boating accident on Memorial Day.

The injured man has been identified 26-year-old as Kent Seevers of Lincoln a 2006 graduate of Norfolk High School in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Authorities in Lancaster County say Seevers was one of five passengers in the boat on Branched Oak Lake near Raymond.

The boat made a sharp turn throwing Seevers in the lake.

He was then hit by the propeller causing major injuries to his chest and arm.

Nebraska Game and Parks officials are investigating. No charges or citations have been issued.
