Authorities use taser to subdue wanted Havelock, IA man

HAVELOCK, Iowa (KTIV)- Authorities had to use a taser to subdue a northwest Iowa man who allegedly threatened them with a knife.

Pocahontas County deputies went to 53-year-old Paul Henderson's home, in Havelock, Iowa, to serve an arrest warrant. When they tried to arrest Henderson, deputies say he displayed a knife, and threatened them. Deputies say Henderson became aggressive, so a deputy tased Henderson to disarm him.

In addition to charges of criminal mischief, and trespass, on the original warrant, Henderson is charged with interference with official acts, and assault on a peace officer.
