Man charged after deadly crash in Pierce County, Nebraska

PIERCE COUNTY, Neb. (KTIV/US92) - A South Dakota man has been charged with three counts of misdemeanor vehicular homicide following an accident that killed three.

On April 28, Police say 31-year-old Carlos Sanchez Espinoza of Arlington, South Dakota was driving an north on Highway 81 in Pierce County, Nebraska when his vehicle blew a tire.

Eight other people were in the vehicle that night.

The crash killed 41-year-old Pablo Chilel Escobar, 29-year old Mario Pineda, and 24-year-old Hugo Moreno.

Espinoza is being held on $10,000 bond.

His arraignment will be on June 11 at 10 a.m.
