Strong storms popped up in Siouxland Friday afternoon and some were on the strong side with heavy downpours, small hail, and frequent lightning.

Some roadways were flooded Friday afternoon due to the heavy rainfall and nickel size hail was reported in Sioux City.

Temperatures this afternoon topped out in the 80s with quite a bit of humidity and that is what we can expect for the weekend.

There will also be a chance for showers and thunderstorms this weekend.

Although on Sunday, some of the storms could be strong to severe.

Rain chances will continue into next week and the temperatures will slightly cool down.
