Bandits rally falls short against Wichita; Wild hang on 59-54

The Bandits hopes of clinching home field advantage throughout the CPIFL playoffs took a hit Saturday night with a 59-54 loss to Wichita.

Sioux City falls to 9-3 on the season while Wichita improves to 9-2 and has one game left.

Scott Jensen completed just one pass in the first half, for three yards as Sioux City trailed 32-12 after two quarters.

He finished the game 6-for-17 for 158 yards and four touchdowns.

Sioux City rallied, pulling within 49-46 after Rahn Franklin returned a missed field goal 57-yards.

However, the Wild were able to hold off the rally scoring twice in the final five minutes to secure the victory.

Bandits running back John Bentley pushed his season rushing TD total to 26 after reaching paydirt twice on Saturday.
