A Siouxland man was hospitalized following a one-vehicle accident Saturday night

A Siouxland man was hospitalized then given a citation following a one-vehicle accident Saturday night.
Stanton County Sheriff's officials said Kaleb Messier, 24, was the driver in the one-vehicle accident. The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The sheriff's office said Messier was eastbound on 843rd Road, about nine miles southeast of Stanton, when he lost control of his vehicle, left the road, and hit a grove of trees.
Paramedics took Messier to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk with unknown injuries. He was then cited for a second offense DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia. The sheriff's office said Messier was not wearing a seat belt.
