NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) - There's a new logo for Nebraska's Cowboy Trail, and a Siouxlander designed it.

The logo was unveiled Wednesday at Tahazooka Park in Norfolk as part of the city's National Trail Day event.

Emilee Straka of Battle Creek came up with the design.

Officials with the Elkhorn Valley Trails Network say the logo encompasses what the Cowboy Trail is all about.

"She has the train engine, it has a hiking boot, a bicycle wheel, and also a horseshoe, representing the three main uses of the trail," says Cheryl Johnson with the Elkhorn Valley Trail Network.

You can hike, bike or ride horseback on the trail, which stretches for 195 miles from Norfolk to Valentine.
