Cherokee, Iowa police release the name of the body found in the Little Sioux River

CHEROKEE, Iowa (KTIV) -

Cherokee, Iowa, police have released the name of the body found in the Little Sioux River.

They identified him as David Duane Driesen, 44, of Cherokee.

Investigators said a local resident found Driesen, in the river, near Wescott Park, shortly before two o'clock Monday afternoon.

They said the body has been sent to Ankeny for an autopsy and the case is still under investigation.
