Wednesday morning at 3:26 a.m., a South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper responded to a semi-truck crash on Interstate 29 north of Summit, South Dakota.

They said the driver of a northbound semi-truck fell asleep behind the wheel and the vehicle began to travel off the roadway.

The driver woke up and over-corrected, causing the semi to enter the median and roll onto its side.

The driver was wearing his seat belt and received serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

The semi driver was hauling Budlight beer but the patrol said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
