Leeds celebrates 125th birthday

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Leeds is much more than a neighborhood in Sioux City.

In fact, it was its own town founded in 1889.

This year, Leeds celebrates its 125th birthday.

The annual Leeds Days celebration kicked off with a parade down Floyd Boulevard on Thursday night.

That was followed by a carnival, and a show put on by the White Horse Mounted Patrol.

The fun continues Friday with three back-to-back-to-back concerts.

Then, Saturday, KTIV's on Brad Pautsch will help judge the Bill Riley Talent Search starting at 11:30 a.m.

The fun wraps up with a car "show-and-shine" on Sunday at 10 a.m. and a horseshoe tournament at Steinbeck's at 2 p.m.
