Siouxlanders sound off about Friday the 13th

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Most of you probably know when its Friday, but you may not have paid attention to the actual calendar date, Friday the 13th.

It's a date that's surrounded by superstitions and may have some a little worried, but the reaction in Siouxland is mixed.

"I feel like it's kind of creepy, especially living next to a cemetery. It kind of gets spooky at night. I'm probably actually not going to stay at my own house tonight," Justin Broekemeier, of Elk Point, SD, said.

"Most people think that 'ohh, it's going to be a bad day.' Some people think it's going to be good. I don't really care either way," Angie Mosier, of Lawton, Iowa said.

"I didn't know today was Friday the 13th. It was just another day, get up, go to the gym, do laundry," Michelle Lewis, of Sioux City, said.
