Hundreds take part in Siouxland's Relay for Life

The Relay for Life kicks off Friday night in Sioux City. The Relay for Life kicks off Friday night in Sioux City.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Hundreds of Siouxlanders took part in the fight against cancer with The Relay for Life.

The event took place at Memorial Field along Hamilton Boulevard on Friday night.
 
The event brings the community together in the fight against cancer. Survivors and loved ones will walk the track at Memorial Field to raise money for the American Cancer Society and cancer research.

KTIV's Chief Meteorologist Ron Demers was the emcee for the event.
