Teams compete in first-ever Amazing Cardinal Chase

Even though, the skies looked ominous Saturday, that didn't stop people from having some outdoor fun.

Teams gathered at Scenic Park in South Sioux City, Nebraska for the first-ever Amazing Cardinal Chase.

Organizers said the event was based off the television show "The Amazing Race."

"Teams of four people will receive a clue, and they will have to solve the riddle first, and that will tell them where they're going to do the challenge at. When they get to the challenge, they will also receive a little clue that tells them what they are going to be doing in the challenge," "Amazing Cardinal Chase" Chairperson Deb Schroeder said.

Participants pedaled against the clock to complete challenges around South Sioux City.

One stop was at Siouxland Freedom Park's memorial wall. This is where teams drew four names and had to find them and trace them on the wall.

Winners of Saturday's "chase" won cash prizes.
