Starbucks is offering tuition reimbursements for employees
Starbucks is giving its baristas a new job perk. The coffee giant is offering tuition reimbursement to both full and part-time employees working their way through college. Starbucks is partnering up with Arizona State University's online studies program. The new benefit will cover two full years of internet courses at ASU.
Starbucks said, it isn't sure how much the program will cost, but a spokesman estimated the benefit is equal to about $30,000 per employee. Most of the company's 135,000 employees are eligible, and they don't have to remain with Starbucks after getting their degree.
