Plymouth Oil meets debt deadline

NEAR MERRILL, Iowa (KTIV) - Plymouth Oil had big plans for their near Merrill, Iowa, but those dreams were never realized.

The company went into debt and its property was sold in a sheriff sale in April.

The Plymouth County Supervisors cut ties with the company, but was still owed $80,000 in taxes from the company   

The company was given until Monday, June 16 to pay the money or assets would be sold off.

The Plymouth County Treasurer says they were able to make their financial deadline, and will not face penalty.
