Damage assessments are taking place in Wayne, Thurston and Dixon counties

The storms that slammed Pilger, Monday night, also did damage in Wayne, Thurston and Dixon Counties.

Wednesday, we have a better idea of the damage done.

Emergency responders say close to 40 homes, including a small trailer park, were severely damaged.

Moderate damage occurred at another dozen more homes.

Three businesses were also affected.

Tuesday night's storms, which started in Cedar County, Nebraska, damaged areas near the village of Dixon.

If you were affected, or want to volunteer in the clean-up effort, call the Emergency Operations Center at (402) 287-2574.

A tornado touched down last night near Coleridge Nebraska just one day after much of Pilger was destroyed by an EF-4 tornado.

As the storm moved in Roger Anderson decided to go check on Gary and Diana Fairicks, an elderly Coleridge couple.

Both Gary and Diana were unharmed, as their have been no reported deaths or serious injuries reported at this time.
