Cedar Co. Sheriff: Tornado information about Cedar County, NE

COLERIDGE, NE (KTIV) -

The Cedar County Sheriff said 30+ rural homes and/or acreages damaged or destroyed between Laurel and Coleridge, Nebraska. Two business in were destroyed near Laurel.

Volunteers are needed to walk fields and clean up debris from the June 17 tornado.

Volunteers should meet at the Laurel-Concord School at 9am both Friday and Saturday.

Volunteers can meet at the Coleridge Community Club building after 9am to help with the cleanup.

Volunteers should be 18-years-old and wear proper work clothes, shoes and gloves.

Transportation and lunch will be provided.

Monetary donations for the Laurel Tornado relief can be made at Security Bank-Laurel, 202 East 2nd, Laurel, NE 68745.

Monetary donations for the Coleridge Tornado relief can be made at Security Bank-Coleridge 101 West Broadway, Coleridge, NE 68727.

Materials, supplies and donations for Coleridge can be taken to the Village Office at 111 South Main in Coleridge, Nebraska.

Contact the Laurel City office for the drop off point for material/supplies for Laurel.
