SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

More than 1800 Sioux City residents lost power for an hour this afternoon.

Mid American Energy says animal contact with a transformer caused the outage just before one p.m.

The outage hit the Morningside area, from the 2000 block of South Cecelia Street to the East side of South York Road, and the 4000 block of Natalia Way to the 2700 block of South Lewis Boulevard.

Power came back on just before two.
