Cherokee, Iowa woman sentenced for writing fraudulent checks

A Cherokee, Iowa woman is sentenced for writing almost $13,000 dollars worth of fraudulent checks.

Court documents say 46-year-old Sheila Klingborg pleaded guilty to writing 24 checks to herself.

The checks were written from a victim's account while he was in a nursing home due to medical reasons.

Klingborg is sentenced to two 5-year prison sentences for felony theft and felony dependent Adult abuse.

Those sentences are suspended and Lingo is ordered for mental evaluation and five years parole.
