Akron reverts back to regular power source

AKRON, Iowa (KTIV) -

The river's force toppled trees down onto electrical lines last week, knocking out power to Akron.

They were in the dark for more than nine hours before the city began borrowing from the Rural Electric Cooperative.

Now that the line's been fixed they'll make the switch back to East River Electric at midnight Monday.
