SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KTIV) -
Summer school students in Sioux City held a lemonade stand Wednesday to raise money to entertain and educate future generations of children.
In honor of lemonade days, students from Liberty Elementary School set up a lemonade stand for the Children's Museum of Siouxland.
All of the students helped to make the lemonade.
"I learned about making lemonade. It feels good and nice," said Deshawn Davis, Student.
Students learned how to take something a project from the ground up to benefit the community.
"It's a great opportunity for our students to get involved in the community that surrounds them and it is something that is eventually going to benefit them in the long run," said Donny Short, Teacher.
Short says he hopes to make this a yearly event.
The West High School girls basketball team showed up to help out and read to the students.
