Garbage collection follows regular schedule in Sioux City, despite holiday

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Garbage and recycling will be collected as usual on Friday, July 4th.

Residents are asked to please place all materials to be collected at the curb by 4:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection day. Trucks collecting the mixed garbage and yard waste will only make one pass through neighborhoods. The recyclable materials will continue to be collected in a separate truck.

One time use stickers for additional containers are still available for residents to purchase at City Hall and at all major grocery stores. As in the past, residents are reminded that no loose bags or boxes containing garbage will be accepted.
