SLOAN, Iowa (KTIV) - Get your best poker face ready.

The WinnaVegas Casino & Resort has expanded its poker room, and KTIV got a sneak peek inside the area Monday morning.  The casino in Sloan, Iowa held a media and celebrity poker tournament to show off the new space and new tables.

Before, the casino had four tables, and now they have eight.

With more places for players and more space, the casino can offer more games.  Poker players can place their bets and play their hands beginning Tuesday, July 1 when the new poker room officially opens

"This is the biggest poker room in Siouxland and soon it will be the only poker room in Siouxland. It's going to have eight tables in it.  It's a big deal.  A lot of people around this area don't have a for-sure game to come to. WinnaVegas is going to offer people, if you come here, there's going to be a game of Hold 'Em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, this is going to be the place to be," says Travis Morgan, the Marketing Director at WinnaVegas Casino & Resort.

KTIV's Sarah Te Slaa and Nick Filipowski tried their hand at poker and played in the tournament.  Nick won first place and bragging rights among Siouxland's media.  He donated his winnings to the charity.  He gave his one-hundred dollars to The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Siouxland.
